Is the production number too low to be authentic?

I have come accross a Soviet PU scope ingraved with the Crisp hammer and sickle with small five pointed star above with #357 NKV LOGO. the date is 1942 with No 00052. appears to have the NKVD/ #296 NKAP SVT turrets. THe "N" in the "No" is crisp. IS THIS A FAKE?

if the number does not start with the letter A, it is a 100% copy because such a serial number would point to 1940. if it is A00052, it may actually be the original. even rarer cases occur.
